While I was in the Ottawa area over the weekend, I dropped in to visit AAron and Elise at their new house in Sandy Hill. It looks really nice and they seem to be settling in well. There is a bit of work that needs to be done, but that is just par for the course when you buy an old house that has character.

AAron and I decided to go hiking in the Gatineau hills while I was there. Our original goal was to hike around Pink Lake, but it turns out that they had already closed the Gatineau Parkway for the winter season, so we couldn't drive in! Instead, we parked by the (closed) visitor centre and walked a few kilometres up the bike path (slightly more than half way to Pink Lake) and back. Although the fall colours were past their prime, the trees still looked nice and yellow and the foggy weather made the scenery more interesting too.

Technical details: This photo was taken with my Rebel XT + kit lens at 18mm, ISO 400, f/8 for 1/30th of a second.
