I'm pulling out an older picture this week. The last time I was in Ottawa (for AAron's Video Dance Party), Angela and I finally managed to go on a tour of parliament. As it happens, this was shortly after the Library of Parliament external renovations.
This is a picture taken from the Peace Tower observation deck, out towards the Library of Parliament and across the river.
Shot with my Rebel XT + EF-S 10-22mm at 22mm, ISO 100, f/4.5 for 1/800th of a second. Yes, I did boost the saturation a little bit, but take my word for it -- the blue paint was really bright to begin with!
Nice shot. Compositionally speaking, I think this would be even more interesting if you had panned to the right a little. Put the spire in the first third and show more of the bridge in the back.-- Aravind at 2:16am, Thursday June 15, 2006 EST
