Last week Angela finally got her long awaited Bayou Blue Metallic 2007 Yaris! I wanted to take a picture of this historic event, and I remembered that back in university (specifically, the summer of 1999) I had the idea of taking a picture of a car at night in a brightly lit parking lot. I mentioned this to Angela, and she said that she had noticed a good parking lot while exploring some of the new roads in Waterloo. It took a few days before there was a suitable night, but finally it came and so last night Angela, Id and I journeyed to the new technology park on UW's north campus to find the perfect parking lot.

And so, after seven years of waiting, here is the "car in parking lot" picture that I had envisioned.

This was taken with my Rebel XT + Canon 50mm 1.8 Mark II on a tripod at ISO 400, f/8, for 8 seconds.
