Before I get accused of overusing my fisheye lens, let me just say that I didn't really intend to use it this weekend, but I pulled it out anyway to see how well it performed in low light situations. As it turns out, it worked better than I was expecting.

This weekend Angela and I journeyed to Ottawa for AAron's first "video dance party". AAron spent the last couple of months downloading over 25 gigabytes of music videos... so his collection is beginning to rival mine! This is a picture I took of the main party room early in the evening as the party was getting started. Once things got rolling, AAron had an apartment full of dancing people right up until around 4am.

While we were in Ottawa we went on a tour of parliament, which is something that I've never done even though I lived in Ottawa for 14 years. As fun as the trip was, it was rather exhausting as well due to lack of sleep and a lot of walking around the downtown area. I'm almost looking forward to work this week so that I can get some rest. ;)

This photo was taken with my Rebel XT + Peleng 8mm fisheye at ISO 1600, f/8 (I think), for 1/5th of a second. I also digitally pushed it one stop and ran it through Noise Ninja before destroying it by compressing it for the web. ;)
