In addition to being April Fool's Day, this past Saturday was also the day of the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. It was also the grand opening day of the new "St. Jacobs Country Gardens and Landscape Centre" in St. Jacobs, which is owned by Sandy Snider, who just retired from Inscriber a few months ago, and her husband Keith. So, Angela, Molly and I decided to brave the cold weather and heavy traffic to join the tens of thousands of other people in Elmira, and on the way back from the festival we stopped in at the new garden centre to congratulate Keith and Sandy and wish them luck on their new business venture.

The garden centre is really impressive, and large. It is also in a great location, right near the intersection of Sawmill Road and Arthur St. S (Highway 85). For those of you who are in the KW area, be sure to check it out for all your garden needs this spring!

This outing gave me a rare opportunity to use my fisheye lens. Joy! Taken with my Rebel XT + Peleng 8mm fisheye at ISO 100, f/8 for 1/30th of a second.

Ooo..fancy verification test!

That's a fantastic photo. I love the effect of
the fisheye lens when everything is in ordered rows.
