This weekend I was looking forward to trying out my new 70-300 IS lens. Unfortunately, I managed to come down with a cold, so I spent most of my time inside reading "Doomsday Book" by Connie Willis. On Sunday I bravely journeyed outside to nearby Breithaupt Park to try my luck capturing some birds or squirrels. It was a little cold and I was a little feverish so I didn't stay out very long, but I managed to get this picture of a happy little squirrel picking away at a nut high up in a tree.

Taken with my Rebel XT + 70-300mm IS at 300mm, ISO 100, f/5.6, for 1/500s.
