This weekend I drove up to Ottawa for AAron's housewarming party at his new apartment. It was a blast, and great to see so many of the old school NHS crowd there. On Saturday we went out for dim sum, and then I started heading back to Waterloo. On my way, I noticed that there was something different about the parliament buildings. Some of you may remember my Picture Of The Week for December 26th, 2004 (and to a lesser extent, May 23rd, 2004). In those pictures, the library is almost completely covered by scaffolding. Well, on Saturday I noticed that the library renovations have been partially revealed! I've never seen it looking so shiny and new. Remember that the library is the oldest of the parliament buildings... the only building that survived the fire of 1916.

As you can see from the map below, this picture was taken from behind the Supreme Court Of Canada. It was shot with my Rebel XT + kit lens at 55mm, f/10 for 1/500s, ISO 200.
